Bali Attraction : Temple, Bat Cave
Visit the Bat Cave, Goa Lawah, located on the southeast coast of Bali. Thousands of bats inhabit this natural, open-mouthed cave. Squeaking, twittering, scrambling over each other, flying out and quickly returning to the dark--they never stop moving. Women in ceremonial dress place offerings at the cave entrance and make blessings to the gods residing here. Before entering this sacred site, you must rent a yellow sash at the temple in front of the cave, to tie around your waist.
