Gunung Kawi Sebatu

Outside the village of Sebatu lies an exquisite garden temple called Gunung Kawi (not to be confused with the royal monuments of many steps in Tampaksiring). As you enter, on your right, carps fill a large pool. A lovely small pavilion allows one to sit and meditate. Shrines fill the main temple with delightfully painted images of gods and demons. Known for its bathing pools and holy springs, Gunung Kawi is a site for Balinese pilgrims.
